The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Houston (UH) seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Biomedical Electromagnetics. We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in assessing the safety and efficacy of implantable medical devices and systems under harsh electromagnetic environments, such as MRI scanners, Novel electrical stimulation techniques for cardiac and neuromodulation systems, Wireless channel modeling, and antenna design for implantable devices inside realistic human body models, RF/analog system designs for healthcare-oriented wireless sensor networks. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vibrant externally-funded research program that complements our existing strengths in healthcare-oriented electromagnetic compatibility research, antenna, wireless charging designs, RF/analog system design, and wireless sensor networks. The candidate will be expected to contribute to our graduate and undergraduate teaching programs and serve professional societies, the department, and the University.
