Work description

  • Modeling, with DigSILENT PowerFactory, of the hybrid energy storage system to be installed in the electrical grid of Graciosa Island, as part of the European SMHYLES project.
  • Integration of this model into the RMS transient model of the electrical system of Graciosa Island.
  • Performing impact studies of the operation of the hybrid energy storage system on the transient behavior of the electrical system of Graciosa Island for the definition of the converters' parameterization and validation of the network requirements to be defined by the network operator.

 

Academic Qualifications

  • Academic training in electrical engineering.

 

Minimum profile required

  • Solid academic knowledge on electrical power systems and on the modeling and analyses of steady-state and transient behavior of power systems.

 

Preference factors

  • Relevant academic and practical knowledge in transient analysis of electrical power systems with DigSILENT PowerFactory and in RMS modeling of the transient behavior of generation and storage devices in power systems.

 

Maintenance stipend: € 1040,98 or 1309,64, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.

 

INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".

 

The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC
