The University of Texas at Austin Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering https://www.caee.utexas.edu invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Engineering of Habitats for Extreme Environments (EHEE).
Engineering of Habitats for Extreme Environments involves the design and construction of sustainable and resilient infrastructure in some of the universe's most inhospitable environments, whether on Earth (underground, offshore, undersea, in the desert, or in the arctic), or off Earth (orbital and extraterrestrial habitats). Further, the successful applicant will be expected to develop an externally sponsored research program, mentor graduate students, collaborate with other faculty, and serve the university and profession.
Interested applicants should submit the following materials: (1) a letter of interest; (2) a complete curriculum vitae, including academic and professional experience, and a list of publications; (3) statement of research interests, outlining areas of technical expertise and future plans; (4) teaching and mentoring statement; and (5) the names and e-mail addresses of, at least, three references.
