The UNC Charlotte Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position and a non-tenure-track Teaching Assistant Professor position.
The mission of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at UNC Charlotte is to develop human and intellectual resources in all disciplines of Electrical and Computer Engineering and their applications in order to foster technological, economic, and social growth in the Charlotte region, the State of North Carolina, and beyond.
For the tenure-track Assistant Professor position (position # 004375), we are seeking candidates with strong academic records and research interests in all areas of computer engineering including high performance computing, parallel and distributed computing, embedded computing systems, cloud and edge computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, human-computer interaction, security and privacy, and others. Exceptional candidates in related areas such as computer vision, image processing and robotics, will also be considered.
For the non-tenure-track Teaching Assistant Professor position (position # 001832), we are seeking a candidate to teach undergraduate computer engineering courses and labs. Typical courses include computer programming in C++, digital logic, computer organization, and embedded systems. Applicants must be able to actively contribute to undergraduate curriculum development activities and advising.
The ECE department offers B.S. and M.S. degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, with approximately 700 undergraduate and 175 graduate students. For more information about the department, visit http://ece.uncc.edu
