The Chemical Engineering Program at the Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, to begin in the Fall 2020 semester. Qualified candidates must possess an earned Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related engineering field, a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, and an outstanding record of research accomplishments. Applications will be accepted in all areas of Chemical Engineering.
The Chemical Engineering Program is part of the Department of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering and Sciences, designed to enhance research and educational synergy and collaborative opportunities for the faculty in the Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, and Biological Sciences Programs.
The successful candidate will be an individual with professional ethics, strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills, expected to work collaboratively with colleagues both within and outside the department to develop a strong externally funded research program, successfully teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level, and provide quality service to the department, the university and the Chemical Engineering profession. Candidates at the rank of Associate Professor should have an exemplary record of research and educational activities, as well as a strong funding history.
