The School of Science and Engineering is hiring the inaugural Costello Family Endowed Chair in Engineering. We are currently expanding our engineering offerings to include general, systems, environmental and mechanical engineering, in addition to being an ABET accredited biomedical engineering program. The Associate Dean will have a unique opportunity to set the strategic direction for engineering at Duquesne. The Associate Dean will be responsible for working with the Dean to oversee the development and growth of the new engineering programs. They will be responsible for curriculum, accreditation, and assessment. We are seeking a full-time faculty member for a 12-month, tenure-track position in any of the above areas of engineering with a flexible starting date.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in engineering

Experience with ABET accreditation

National recognition in their field of engineering

Demonstrated ability to teach at the undergraduate level

Experience with curriculum development

Experience developing an externally funded research agenda for engineering programs
