The School of Biomedical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University seeks 2 Postdocs/Research Associates in the area of Intelligent Surgical Robotics in the laboratory of Prof. Dahong Qian. The laboratory is focused on combining advanced chip/transducer, real-time artificial intelligence algorithms and innovative mechanical control systems to implement AI-guided flexible endoscopic surgical robotics. The candidates will work on mechanical system design or control algorithm research. The candidates are expected to have good oral and written communication skills.
Desired qualifications:
[*] PhD. Degree (awarded before 7/2022) in one of the 3 following areas: Mechanical design, electronic design, or computer algorithms/programming;
[*] Expertise and research experiences in one of the above areas;
[*] Ability to work on hard projects with creativity and methodology;
[*] Ability to work independently and as part of a team to instruct graduate and undergraduate students;
[*] Passion and interest to work on innovative medical devices which will improve the lives of millions of patients.
