This Principle Research Scientist position specializes in the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Society. This position encompasses responsibilities in both teaching and research, with a strong emphasis on developing innovative curriculum and leading impactful research in AI for social good.
The ideal candidate will develop and implement new curriculum focusing on AI for social good, ensuring courses are up to date with current trends and technologies at the undergraduate and graduate level. The position will also encourage cutting-edge research at the intersection of AI and societal impact, including but not limited to areas such as ethical AI, AI in public policy, AI for social equity, and the societal implications of AI technologies.
The ideal candidate will also serve as a mentor and adviser to students on academic and research projects, publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at international conferences, while securing external funding through grants and collaborative research projects.
