The Department of Computer Engineering and Sciences at Florida Tech is seeking applications for tenure-track faculty positions beginning August 2020. Preference is for the Assistant Professor level, but other levels will be considered. Required qualifications for the position include an earned Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or closely related field, evidence of the ability to develop and sustain an active research program, and a sincere interest in quality teaching, both at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Applicants from all areas of computer science and engineering are encouraged to apply, but preference will be given to applicants who have a background in software engineering.
The department has ABET accredited programs in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Software Engineering, and receives significant active research funding from a number of government agencies and industry partners. Florida Tech is an NSA/DHS designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Research, and new faculty will also have the opportunity to work with the Harris Institute for Assured Information.
