Established in 1981, the SCHOOL OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING (EEE) is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence, the School is renowned for its high academic standards and research. With more than 150 faculty members and enrolment of more than 4,000, of which about 1,000 are graduate students, it is one of the largest EEE schools in the world and ranks 6th in the field of Electrical & Electronic Engineering in the 2017 QS World University Rankings by Subjects.

Research Area: Computational Science and Engineering Electromagnetics

Duties: The successful applicant will be involved in the projects related to the applications of abovementioned techniques to the bio-electromagnetics, radar, and microwave imaging. The successful applicant is expected to produce/publish research results and help in supervising MSc students.

The applicant must have completed an MSc in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computational Sciences and Engineering, or a related discipline, with a capacity for high-quality research proven by a publication record.

The applicant must have:

1. Experience in deep learning, tensor decomposition, and/or uncertainty quantification techniques
2. Good mathematical and analytical thinking skills
3. Advanced programming and technical writing skills

Applicants with any/some/all of the following qualifications will have priority:

1. Basic knowledge of electromagnetic theory, photonics, and/or optics
2. Experience in convolutional neural networks
