The Uncertainty Quantification (UQ) Lab at the University of Houston (UH), led by Dr. Ruda Zhang, invites applications for one postdoctoral researcher in areas of surrogate modeling and data-driven dynamics. The position is available immediately, with the expected start time in 2023. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Candidates must have a strong mathematical/statistical background and/or strong programming abilities. Preferred skills/experiences include:
- Gaussian process modeling
- computational mathematics
- operator learning
This position is funded at 71,500 USD per year, including stipend and fringe benefits. Besides, the Lab will provide extra financial support for conferences and academic visits. The appointment may last for up to three years, contingent on annual performance reviews. Foreign applicants can request sponsorship from the University for J-1 or H-1B visas.
