The Associate Research Scientist will ensure leadership in field of Electrical Engineering research, specifically in the area of linear and nonlinear, passive and active photonics. The primary responsibility will be to develop novel photonic devices for overcoming traditional limitations in photonics, including non-reciprocity, sensitivity to fabrication variations, etc. In addition, this position will assist the Principal Investigator of the Lipson Nanophotonics Group with technical proposal preparation, reporting and providing guidance to students on their research projects.
The successful candidate will have expertise in the design, fabrication and measurements of non-linear optical functionalities on various integrated platforms. Associate Research Scientists at Columbia SEAS are junior officers who have demonstrated innovation and excellence in research. Candidates are evaluated on research ability and required expertise.
