The Centre for Teacher Training at the TU Chemnitz is offering a research assistant position (m / f / d) (100%, salary group 13 TV-L), starting in January 2021 to be occupied until December 31, 2023.
The employment takes place in the context of the project "DigiLeG" (Digital learning environments for the elementary school). A total of 8 research assistants are involved in various sub-projects. The aim of the project is to support primary schools in Saxony in implementing digitization. In order to achieve this, subject-specific and interdisciplinary learning environments that integrate digital media in a meaningful way are being developed in appropriate sub-projects. The results will be used in a freely accessible internet database.
Your task as part of the project is to set up the open access database in which the materials developed in the project (videos of lesson sequences, teaching and learning material, etc.) are made available to registered users. The area of responsibility therefore lies across the sub-projects and includes in cooperation with the project coordination overarching functions.
It is a position for further scientific qualification. You use your research results for scientific publications and your own qualification.
If you are interested in working in an interdisciplinary, highly motivated team and in an academic discussion of a topic of high practical relevance, you should meet the following requirements:
- Completed academic university degree in the field of (applied) computer science or comparable disciplines, which opens up access to the corresponding qualification level,
- very good knowledge of HTML 5, PHP and CSS,
- Safe handling of office applications and image processing,
- Knowledge of data security / data protection and database architecture,
- Experience in the conception, creation and maintenance of databases,
- Ability to work in a team and communicative skills,
- Interest in educational issues relating to the topic of digitally designed learning environments.
Knowledge of accessibility, video editing, SQL and project management would also be desirable. In addition, you should have German language skills (at least B2 level).
