The Linda and Bipin Doshi Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) in Rolla, Missouri is seeking outstanding applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of bioengineering including but not limited to drug and gene delivery, nanomedicine, biomaterials, biomanufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, and tissue engineering. Candidates at the Assistant Professor rank are preferred; however, candidates with exceptional experience and qualifications may be considered at the rank of Associate Professor.

Missouri S&T’s Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering occupies the new Bertelsmeyer Hall that accommodates state-of-the-art research laboratories related to energy (including multiphase flow and reactors engineering, renewable fuels, and batteries), environmental applications including carbon capture and conversion, and biomedical applications such as biomaterials and drug and gene delivery. It also houses recently renovated teaching laboratories and classrooms. The Department received a $10M naming gift from Mr. Bipin and Mrs. Linda Doshi in the fall of 2020, the largest gift to an academic program at S&T. With the gift, three endowed professor positions were created. Currently, the department has 11 faculty members including three AIChE fellows. Six current and former faculty are among world’s top 2% scientists according to the latest Stanford University report. Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering or a related field at the time of starting the positionApplicants with a B.S. degree in chemical engineering are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

The successful candidate is expected to (a) develop a research program that is externally funded and nationally and internationally recognized, (b) contribute quality teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, (c) provide service in the applicant’s professional community and our institution.

Applicants from national labs or industry with the ability to secure competitive external funding coupled with academic/teaching experience are encouraged to apply as well.
