A postdoctoral position is available in the SENTECH Chair in Broadband Wireless Multimedia Communication (BWMC: https://www.up.ac.za/sentech-chair-in-broadband-wireless-multimedia-communication) research group led by Prof. Sunil Maharaj at the University of Pretoria. The postdoctoral fellow is expected to pursue research relating to LDPC codes for quantum communications in the context of next-generation communications.
It is preferred if the candidate has prior experience in one or more of the following topics:
- Error-Control Coding,
- Information Theory,
- Quantum Communications.
The package for the postdoctoral position is R 350 000 (South African Rand) per annum (tax free) for a period of at least 2 years.
