Position overview
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Purdue University Northwest (PNW) in Hammond and Westville, Indiana, invites applications for a one year Visiting Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering position starting on August 12, 2019. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate ECE courses (Analog & Digital Electronic Circuits, Communication Systems, and Signals & Systems) and labs, primarily on the Westville campus. Some courses may be taught in the evenings and there are opportunities to teach some of these courses in a distance learning format. Other duties will include (but not limited to) ABET, advising MS graduate students; direct senior design teams; committee work; and other activities assigned by ECE Chair.

The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering offers ABET accredited BS degrees in both Electrical Engineering & Computer Engineering; MS degree in ECE; and MS degree in Interdisciplinary Engineering. We offer a brand new 4+1 BSMS degree as well. These programs are supported by state-of-the-art labs and dedicated faculty members who enjoy teaching, research, and community engagement. ECE Department is located within the School of Engineering led by Director Dr. Dietmar Rempfer. Education and Experience
A PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is REQUIRED. Although not required, candidates with prior experience in industry and/or university teaching are encouraged to apply.
