The Department of Industrial Engineering (INE) in the College of Engineering at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for visiting and regular faculty positions at the assistant, associate or full professor level commencing in Fall Semester 2023. The visiting faculty positions are primarily focused on teaching. Successful candidates for the regular positions will be expected to establish high-level, active research programs supported by internal and external funding sources. The visiting position is a one-year renewable contract, and the regular position is a three-year renewable contract.
The applicant is required to have a PhD in Industrial Engineering and show evidence of a significant teaching portfolio. Excellence in teaching and research, in addition to experience in the American model of higher education, are highly desirable.

The Department of Industrial Engineering is one of the fastest-growing departments at AUS. It has approximately 280 undergraduate students, 85 graduate students, 10 full-time faculty and 1 lab instructor. Students and faculty represent very diverse backgrounds and nationalities; approximately 90 nationalities are present on campus. The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, a Master of Science in Engineering Systems Management, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering Systems Management.
