The Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences is a research intensive Faculty with extensive teaching operations in Australia, Asia and the Middle East. It has approx. 5000 undergraduate & postgraduate students onshore and offshore, and approximately 353 academic/research/professional staff. The School of Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronic and Biomedical Engineering, which is one of the top Engineering Schools in Australia, is committed to research and teaching excellence through its world-class undergraduate and postgraduate programs in a range of exciting technological areas.
This position will play a key role in (i) strengthening the teaching and research of the School of Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronic and Biomedical Engineering in the fields of Mechanical Engineering Design, Design and Innovation and Engineering Management, and (ii) enhancing the reputation and research capability of UOW in these fields and (iii) increasing the perceived value of these fields in the professional community. The appointee will teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in areas of Mechanical Engineering Design, Design and Innovation, Engineering Management and Professional Practice and Placement. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to the development of our research capability in Design and Innovation, and Engineering Management, and play an important role in the development of the teaching and research programs at the University of Wollongong.
