Job Description
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Schaefer School of Engineering and Science, Stevens Institute of Technology (Stevens) invites applications for a teaching assistant/associate professor (non-tenure track) position, starting on September 1, 2022. Stevens offers an intellectually vibrant, diverse, highly interdisciplinary, collaborative and innovative community and is a great place to work.

The primary responsibility will be instruction of undergraduate courses, including Introduction to Communication Systems, Digital System Design, Engineering Designs, and Engineering Programming. Additional responsibilities include advising undergraduate students and department services.
Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related discipline. Successful candidates should have a demonstrated interest and commitment to excellence in undergraduate education and mentoring of students with diverse backgrounds. Candidates with strong industry background in circuits and systems design are of particular interest to the department.

The ECE department at Stevens currently has 25 full-time faculty, including 1 NAE member, 5 IEEE Fellows, and 3 NAI Fellows. ECE faculty are dynamic, collaborative colleagues dedicated to inspiring and educating the next generation of electrical and computer engineers and technical leaders through innovative, interdisciplinary, and impactful research and education programs.

Stevens is a private university located in Hoboken, New Jersey. The 55-acre campus is on the Hudson River across from midtown Manhattan within a few minutes from NYC via public transportation. Stevens’ exciting location offers unlimited opportunities for collaboration with nearby universities, Brookhaven National Laboratory, and major corporate research laboratories. The Schaefer School of Engineering and Science is the largest school among three schools and college at Stevens.
