Applications are invited from highly motivated and energetic candidates for fully funded Ph.D. positions (starting from both Spring and Fall 2024) at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), Old Westbury, NY, USA. NYIT participates in Inter-University Engineering Doctoral Consortium (IUEDC), which allows Ph.D. students admitted to NYIT to complement their primary program by taking courses of interest offered at 8 other schools. The program provides access to specialty instruction and expertise that may not be available at their home universities ( https://tinyurl.com/yudmnnpn)

The applicants for these Ph.D. positions should have some background and interests in one of the following areas: signal processing for radar, joint radar and communications, distributed sensing and communications, 6G wireless communications, and applications of machine learning for radar and communications. 

A MS degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or related field is required. However, exceptional applicants with the BS degree will be also considered. Applicants with interests on both theoretical and experimental research in radar and wireless communications are encouraged to apply. The applicants are also expected to have strong programming skills (MATLAB, C/C++, python). The applicants with prior research experience on software define radios (SDR) and machine learning algorithms/toolboxes are preferred, but not required.
