SUMMARY: The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for one faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor of Practice. This position is a full-time non-tenure track faculty position renewal yearly based on performance.
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering houses six-degree programs: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Bachelor of Science Associate in Embedded Software Engineering, Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence, and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
JOB DUTIES:
· Teaches and develops undergraduate and graduate courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
· Advises undergraduate and graduate students.
· Directs student engineering projects.
· Participates in professional and University service activities.
· Keeps regular office hours to provide easy access to students.
· Maintains current knowledge in fields of expertise.
· Performs additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Qualified applicants will have 2+ years of professional experience in their field, and a minimum of one-year teaching experience at the college level. Applicants must have at the time of appointment a Ph.D. degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field.
Successful applicants must be capable of teaching a range of classes in electrical and computer engineering curricula, including control systems, digital control systems (graduate course), circuits and electronics; and courses related to electric vehicles, such as autonomous vehicles, connected vehicles, automotive control systems, power engineering and hybrid electric vehicles.
