Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will work for the project to conduct the research on development of analysis framework on how to build up a generic framework to use learning-assisted approach to solve transportation related problems:

Develop mathematical modeling framework to find the optimal operation strategy for public transport services with autonomous vehicles

Conduct computer programming to verify the efficiency of the designed solution algorithms

Conduct survey to better understand the travelers’ perception towards the new technology based public transport services

Analyze data acquired from the field survey

Develop mathematical models to predict passenger demand for public transport services with autonomous vehicles
Job Requirements:

Preferably PhD in computer engineering, transportation engineering or related field.

Expertise in computer programming

Knowledge in urban transportation studies, traffic flow theory, operation research

Proven research ability as evidenced through a portfolio of publications and/or conference papers and/or patents.

Excellent teamwork and verbal, written communication skills

Independent, highly analytical, proactive and a team player

In-depth knowledge relevant to the project domain.
