The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CHBE) in the College of Engineering at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for visiting faculty position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level commencing in Spring 2025. The visiting faculty position is primarily focused on teaching. The visiting position is a one-semester renewable contract.
The applicant is required to have a PhD in Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field, and show evidence of a significant teaching portfolio. Excellence in teaching and research, in addition to experience in the American model of higher education, are highly desirable.

The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering has approximately 200 undergraduate students, 15 graduate students, 12 full-time faculty and 3 lab instructors. Students and faculty represent very diverse backgrounds and nationalities; approximately 90 nationalities are present on campus.
