Faculty Position in Department of Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering
Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio
The Department of Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering (ECSE) at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) invites applications for one non-tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Appointments will be considered for starting dates as early as July 1, 2025. All applicants must hold either great promise for (Assistant Professor rank) or great track record in (Associate Professor rank) effective teaching, especially at the undergraduate level, and substantial service/outreach activities. Appointment rank will ultimately be commensurate with experience. All applicants must also be committed to working with a diverse population of students. Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
The successful candidate is expected to teach at the undergraduate level in electrical and computer engineering. Priority areas of interest are introductory analog/digital circuits and instruments, digital logic laboratory, and analog/digital communications. Depending upon interest and expertise, the successful candidate will also be able to develop new courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels on microprocessors or radio-frequency/microwave engineering. The candidate is also expected to perform undergraduate student advising and to represent the department in various outreach/recruitment events, as needed.
Applicants should provide the names and contact information of three references in addition to a cover letter, CV, and teaching statement. CWRU and the ECSE Department value activities that support diversity and inclusion and invite applicants to describe such activities in their letter of application. The search will continue until the position is filled; however, for maximum consideration the applicants should submit their materials by February 1, 2025. We welcome all nominations and applications for this available position; please submit your application materials to apply.interfolio.com/154679.
