Industrial and Entrepreneurial Engineering & Engineering Management

The Industrial and Entrepreneurial Engineering & Engineering Management Department at Western Michigan University is accepting applications for a tenure-track assistant/associate professor position starting August 2022. All candidates are expected to be effective researchers, competent teachers and perform service activities. Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering. Experience and/or potential in conducting independent research and relevant industrial experience is desired.
The successful applicant will support instruction in traditional areas of industrial engineering and engineering management. Additionally, it is anticipated that this individual will develop new coursework in his/her field of expertise.
WMU’s Industrial and Entrepreneurial Engineering & Engineering Management Department is an integral player in the CEAS research. This individual will work closely with the existing faculty to seek external funding with regional and national providers, research foundations, and federal funding agencies.
The Department of Industrial and Entrepreneurial Engineering & Engineering Management offers an ABET Accredited undergraduate engineering degree in Industrial & Entrepreneurial Engineering, an MSE in Industrial Engineering, an MS in Engineering Management, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering. The College of Engineering and Applied Sciences has seven academic departments, with programs in engineering, engineering technology, and applied sciences. In Fall 2003, the College moved into a new $100 million facility located on a 270-acre engineering campus. This site includes a new engineering complex and a Business Technology and Research Park.
