A Ph.D. position in the area of Infrastructure Materials with a focus on sustainable cementitious systems is available (starting from Fall 2020) in Professor Khanzadeh’s research group in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Temple University, Philadelphia.
The project concerns experimental testing and numerical simulation of sustainable and eco-Friendly cementitious systems and the application of analytical imaging and microscopy techniques to understand the mechanical and durability behavior of these materials. This research project is an interdisciplinary study which requires a basic knowledge of materials, porous media mechanics, chemistry of cementitious materials, and image processing.
Candidates with B.S and M.S degrees in Civil Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related areas are encouraged to apply.
If interested, please email Prof. Khanzadeh (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your CV. Applications will be immediately reviewed until the position is filled.
