The Kong Lab (Electrochemical Energy) at San Diego State University (SDSU), is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral researchers to join our team. focus on advanced battery materials design, characterization, and performance testing for next-generation energy storage systems.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in cathode materials, especially high-voltage cathodes and gel-polymer electrolyte.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
  • Hands-on experience with XRD, SEM, XPS, Raman (independent operation).
  • Ability to work independently and lead a sub-team
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks
  • Background in Li-ion battery systems is highly desirable
