Adjunct/Visiting Professor Visiting Professor Assistant Professor
Visiting Assistant Professor (Spring semester 2019 appointment only) to teach undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering Technology; advise undergraduates and provide service to the department and the university as opportunities exist. The position will serve the Miami University’s Regional campus locations in Ohio (Middletown, Hamilton and West Chester). Faculty in the department teach undergraduate courses during day and evening hours. Some courses may be delivered by interactive video and web conferencing. Courses include Fundamental Mechanics such as: Statics and Dynamics, Mechanisms and Machine Design, Solid Modeling, Finite Element Analysis, Engineering Materials, Computer-Aided Drafting and Computer-Aided Manufacturing.
Require: Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology or closely related field by date of appointment. Position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
Consideration may be given to faculty with relevant and technologically current industry experience; Professional Engineering license; or postsecondary teaching experience. Individuals interested in teaching in other areas of Mechanical Engineering Technology such as Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer.
