The Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science in the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota seeks to hire a part-time adjunct assistant professor (9403A) to provide recitation and lab support for the chemical engineering unit operations course.
Successful candidates will be expected to develop and teach introductory and/or upper division undergraduate courses, hold office hours, and advise students. In addition, the adjunct faculty member should continue personal growth within the profession, keep current within the field, and broaden his/her/their knowledge and expertise of chemical engineering concepts. The appointment may be renewable for an additional term or terms based on need, funding, and performance.
Required qualifications: Ph.D. in chemical engineering or a closely related field and previous teaching experience at a college or university. Preferred qualifications: Demonstrated excellence in teaching; professional/industrial experience in chemical engineering or closely related field.
