A postdoctoral position is available within the College of Aeronautics and Engineering at Kent State University, Kent, OH. Candidates with strong background in control theory and autonomous systems are welcome to apply. The applications of interest may consist of a wide range of systems from healthcare to automotive to aerospace systems. This is a one-year position starting in January 2020. The postdoctoral candidate is expected to carry out research focused on controls and autonomous systems, help with writing grant proposals and journal papers, and participate in mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
Prospective applicants must have received their Ph.D. or will receive it by December 2019. They may have background in electrical & computer engineering, mechatronics engineering, or mechanical & aerospace engineering.
- Strong background in control systems
- Strong evidence of scholarly work and publications in the area of control systems
- Prior experience in writing grant proposals
