A Ph.D. position is available in the Advanced Conducting Manufacturing Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at San Diego State University (joint PhD program of UC San Diego and San Diego State University (SDSU)).

The Ph.D. degree is offered jointly with the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Applicants to the program are admitted to both Ph.D. programs of UC San Diego and SDSU and graduates receive separate Ph.D. degrees from both Institutions. 

Tuition and stipend support will provide to the admitted PhD student, starting Spring 2023. The student will work on fabrication of various conducting and semiconducting materials for a wide range of energy devices.

Candidates with background in Mechanical Engineering/Materials Engineering/ and Physics are encouraged to apply. knowledge thin film deposition and being familiar with computational/simulation software is a plus.
