The research group of Smart Building Technologies and Services at the Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering is looking for a doctoral student to research human-building interaction with the help of artificial intelligence.
The position is part of smart building research that aims at creating a comfortable indoor environment for human beings while, at the same time, being energy efficient. The research can utilize environment of Otaniemi campus as well as research partner’s (Metropolia’s) campus. In the research environment, several building systems as well as IoT-solutions can be integrated together to demonstrate a future vision for a comfortable and efficient office environment. We are now looking for a doctoral student that would develop interaction solutions between these technical systems and the users of the buildings. As the research project is about to start, the selected student is able to influence to the more precise research theme.
We hope that the student could start as soon as possible, however, at the beginning of May at latest. The applicant should address interest in the development of human-building interaction as well as be cooperative as the project is carried out together with several companies. The applicant should also fulfill the requirements of the Doctoral Programme in Electrical Engineering. More information on the admission requirements are provided here:
