We seek an outstanding individual with demonstrated expertise or strong research potential in robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and/or autonomous systems. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, human–robot interaction, immersive technologies, and medical, assistive, and collaborative platforms, as well as AI-driven advances in perception, planning, and control with applications in aerospace, healthcare, manufacturing, and resilient infrastructure.

Research in the department spans high-impact areas, such as energy and sustainability, advanced materials and devices, intelligent and autonomous systems, and advanced manufacturing. Faculty are active contributors to major university centers and institutes focused on superconductivity, advanced materials, and aerospace systems. More information about the department is available at www.me.uh.edu.
