Multiple Faculty Positions at the Faculty of Engineering, Islamic University in Madinah: Full, Assistant, Associate Professor
The Faculty of Engineering at the Islamic University in Madinah seeks applications for multiple faculty positions starting September 2019. Appointments will be at the full, associate, assistant professor levels. We seek candidates who will provide inspiration and leadership in research, contribute proactively to both undergraduate and graduate level teaching in the Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering departments and add to the diversity of the academic community. Ideal candidates will have experience with ABET accreditation and can help join the accreditation efforts for the program.
Faculty duties include teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, advising students and conducting research. Candidates must hold an earned Ph.D., research and teaching experience in the relevant field of engineering to apply for the respective faculty positions.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering and possess a strong expertise in one or more areas: Power Systems, Power Electronics & Drives, Renewable Energy, High voltage Engineering, Motion Control, Robotics, Sensors and Instruments, Mechatronics, Nano Electronics, Embedded Systems, Computer Architecture, Internet of Things, etc. with ISI-indexed journal publications and must have established or exhibit the potential to establish a strong, externally sponsored research program.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Civil Engineering and possess a strong expertise in one or more areas: Transportation Engineering, Construction Management, Water resource Management, Geotechnical Engineering, etc. or any other related area which is part of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Industrial engineering, this includes: Systems engineering, or Operation research; Applied statistics and Data Science; Ergonomics or Human Factors and Safety Engineering;
Product development and Manufacturing Processes; Financial Engineering (exposure in asset management); Healthcare Engineering; Optimization, Management Science, Logistics and Supply Chain Management including Marketing, MIS and Distribution as part of SCM, Stochastic Analysis & Simulation,
Reliability and Maintenance Engineering. All candidates must have ISI-indexed journal publications.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and possess a strong expertise in one or more areas: Mechanical Design & Tribology, Mechatronics, Renewable Energy, Manufacturing Engineering, Composite Materials, Nanotechnology, Power Plant, Machine Learning, Industrial Management, etc.)
Benefits and Conditions:
Islamic University offers an income tax free compensation package, commensurate with rank and experience including a 12-month salary, summer vacation, accommodation package, annual round trip airfare to home country, medical insurance and end of contract bonus. University has its own medical and dental clinics.
End Of Service:
The employee will be paid an amount of equal to half a month’s basic salary for each of the first five years of employment; this is converted retrospectively to a month’s salary after five years of service and for each of the subsequent years.
