The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for a position in Electrical Engineering at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2026. Applicants from all areas of electrical engineering are invited to apply, with preference given in order, to candidates specializing in Control/Robotics, Power Engineering, Analog and Digital Electronics, High-Frequency Electronics, Communications, and Signals and Systems.

Duties and responsibilities: The successful candidates will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and the potential to establish a research program that involves both undergraduate and master’s students. Teaching responsibilities include both introductory and advanced courses, as well as assisting in curriculum development. The applicant will be expected to advise students; serve on department, college and university committees; and engage in professional activities. Applicants with hands-on experience that supports the university's Learn by Doing philosophy are particularly encouraged to apply.
