Field robots are mobile robots that operate in dynamic and unstructured environments. The work will involve the development and experimental testing of techniques and systems for field robots, including unmanned vehicles and human-robot systems.
The effort will involve research in support of the overall goal of developing field robot platforms and systems, including:
Dynamic modeling and simulation (e.g. in Matlab and Simulink).
System identification and experimental validation.
Use of proper software architectures, programming languages and navigation techniques for the unmanned system effective control.
