Position Description:

The School of Engineering and Digital Sciences at Nazarbayev University seeks a dynamic individual for the position of Assistant Professor in Engineering Management with a special focus on Supply Chain and Operations Management. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about shaping the future of engineering management education and conducting groundbreaking research in supply chain, logistics, production, and inventory management.

Job Description:

  • Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Supply Chain and Operations Management.
  • Engage in high-quality research activities and publications in top-tier journals.
  • Supervise student projects and research, guiding them in integrating supply chain management theories and practical applications.
  • Contribute to the development of the Engineering Management Program curriculum.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world supply chain and logistics problems.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Engineering Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated excellence in research with publications in recognized journals.
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring at the university level.
  • Professional certification in CSCP, CPIM, CLTD, CPSM, or related areas is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
