KAIST’s School of Transdisciplinary Studies invites applications to the position of new full-time faculty ((non-tenure track)-teaching faculty) as follows.

■ Position details – Classification : Full-time faculty((Non-tenure track)-Teaching faculty) – Area of expertise : Robotics, Data/AI, etc. – Contract : Full-time – Quota : 0 – Job Level : Experienced – Workplace : Main campus, Daejeon in South Korea

■ Eligibility

1. Eligibility – Talented individual who understands the purpose of transdisciplinary education and supports the School’s vision – Doctoral-degree holder in relevant areas with at least four years of education/research experience after date of degree conferral – Person capable of conducting English-language lectures

2. Grounds for disqualification – One falling under any of the subparagraphs of Article 33 of the State Public Officials Act – One who has lost civil rights pursuant to relevant laws – One found unfit for work based on results of physical examination – One who has evaded mandatory military service

■ Application procedures – Round 1: Document screening – Round 2: In-depth interview by School – Round 3: Seminar and comprehensive deliberations by School – Round 4: Final decision made following deliberations by KAIST Faculty Personnel Deliberation Committee

■ Application period: Jan. 16 (Thu), 2020 – Jan. 31 (Fri), 2020

■ Required documents – KAIST full-time faculty application (form provided : http://sts.kaist.ac.kr/en/html/sub05/0501.html ) – Summary of key achievements, academic research achievements, teaching plan, research proposal, CV, consent to collection/use of personal information – Letter of recommendation (three for assistant/associate professor candidates (including advisor’s recommendation)/six for professor candidates (including advisor’s recommendation)) ※ Letter of recommendation to be submitted directly by recommender to kimh@kaist.ac.kr

■ Method of application

■ Misc.
- Do not include personal information such as photo, name of schools, age, and family relations in application form and other documents
- All received documents shall be sealed and not returned
- Candidate shall not be considered if any information is found to be false or inaccurate, and may be removed from position if appointed based on misleading information
