Tenure Track Faculty Position
The Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering (MAE) Department of the Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering at Clarkson University invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank in Aerospace Engineering (starting date: July 2021 or earlier). A Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or related area is required. Applications are sought from an individual whose particular research includes space systems design, including a focus in, but not limited to space/air missions, space robotics, satellite design, guidance/navigation/control systems, astronautical power and propulsion, and other related areas of aerospace engineering.
Clarkson’s MAE Department currently offers B.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering, and is planning to expand into the Aerospace Engineering. Successful candidates will be expected to teach fundamental undergraduate and graduate courses in aerospace engineering and develop strong externally funded research programs. Applicants should articulate a clear and substantiated vision of how their background can lead to sustained accomplishments through teaching, research, and an ability to engage in interdisciplinary activities and projects within one of the areas identified above.
