Risk communication and value cocreation for rural areas

Work description

The grantee will have to develop tasks with the aim of designing an effective risk communication plan for leisure activities, targeting the rural population in the context of forest fires. The work will be developed by exploring the reasons adjacent to resistance to behavioral change and defining guidelines to support the design of new risk communication strategies, including the dissemination of new behaviors that mitigate rural fires. This research will follow a mental models approach proposed by Morgan (2001).

Academic Qualifications

Hold a Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Management or related fields.

Minimum profile required

• Publications and presentations at international conferences related to the grant topic.
• Good level of Portuguese and English language.

Preference factors

• Previous experience in publishing scientific articles in outlets ranked in the Journal of Citation Reports first quartile.
• Experience with the mental model methodology proposed by Morgan (2001).
