A Master’s [NQF Level 9] in Civil Engineering specialised in Structural Engineering with at least four (4) years of lecturing and/or industrial experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience. Excellent English communication skills (oral and written). Competence to teach the following courses: Reinforced Concrete and Masonry Design, Structural Design of Steel and Timber, Structural Analysis, Theory of Structures; Elastic and Plastic Analysis of Structures, Structural Dynamics. Knowledge of appropriate structural engineering design software, basic research in structural engineering related topics. Competence to establish professional networks and to maintain links with the industry, as well as experience in developing under-graduate programmes. A credible record of lecturing, peer-reviewed publications, community engagement, supervision of students (research) under-graduate level.
