Work description

  • Characterize the state of the art in the field of multi-energy microgrids taking into account different use cases.
  • Contribute to the specification, design, development and implementation of tools in the energy area, involving microgrids operation and planning, multi-energy resources and forecasting of load and renewable production.
  • Specify the exchange of information between systems and develop APIs to enable interaction between new tools and existing platforms.
  • Participate in the elaboration of use cases and services related to the optimization of microgrids.

 

Minimum profile required

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with optimization and forecasting models and techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge and programming experience in Python.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese (written and spoken).

 

Preference factors

  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts related to microgrids and multi-energy systems.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation of seaport energy systems.

 

Maintenance stipend: € 1851.00, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.

INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrollment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".

The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
