Research Project: Investigation into structure-function relationships of living eukaryotic cells and bacterial biofilms through atomic force microscopy

Timeline: Available immediately, start date negotiable Fall ’20/Spring ’21, renewable annually

Relevant Environment
1. UK Sponsored Research FY 2019 $417 million ($242 million federal)
2. NIH Supported COBRE in Pharmaceutical Research and Innovation
3. UK Light Microscopy Core https://www.research.uky.edu/light-microscopy-core

Requirements (No exceptions):
1. Degree: PhD in related field
2. Evidence of scholarship through publications in peer-reviewed journals

Preferred Applicants will also have:
1. Experience in Atomic Force Microscopy techniques
2. Experience promoting diversity and inclusion in STEM
3. Experience mentoring undergraduate or graduate students
4. Experience working with biomaterials
