Fully funded Ph.D. and MSc positions starting the 2024 Spring Semester

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Louisiana State University has funded Ph.D. and master's positions in geodesy, Surveying, and Geomatics research areas starting the 2024 Fall Semester. We are looking for self-motivated Ph.D. and Master students to work as research assistants in geodesy, satellite geodesy, surveying, and geomatics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Motivation and Passion in Geodesy Research
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in geodesy, satellite geodesy, surveying, GIS/geomatics, geophysics, mathematics, physics, civil engineering, geology, earth science, computer science, and/or machine learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background or research experience in one of the areas: physical geodesy, satellite geodesy, surveying engineering, geomatics, geophysics, mathematics, and earth sciences.
  • Strong mathematical background and analytical skills.
  • Strong programming skills in one of the following, e.g., Matlab, Python, Fortran, C++, or any relevant programming language.
