Computer and Communication Engineering

Khalifa University and the College of Computing and Mathematical Sciences seek applicants for several faculty positions in the Department of Computer and Communication Engineering.

We seek applicants who will strengthen our research and education programs in core and emerging areas of computer engineering, including but not limited to

1. Digital design and FPGA

2. Hardware and embedded system

3. Neuromorphic

4. Hardware/software co-design of cognitive

5. Hardware accelerators for Artificial Intelligence and Information

6. Quantum

7. Mixed-signal integrated circuit design focusing on

Preferential consideration will be given to applicants at the Assistant Professor level.

Required Qualifications:

1. Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

2. Record of excellence in research that is commensurate with the applicant’s career

3. Record of excellence in teaching as appropriate to the applicant’s

Additional Qualifications:

1. Outstanding publication record in top journals and conferences in the applicant’s areas of research

2. Outstanding communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and commitment to a career of academic excellence and innovation.

3. Demonstrated commitment to curriculum development and innovation in university

4. Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship and technology

Interested candidates are requested to submit an application package, including the following:

3. Research statement, including a concise future research plan over the next 3 to 5 years (maximum 2 pages).

4. Teaching statement, including a concise curriculum teaching and development plan at the undergraduate and graduate levels (maximum 2 pages).

Review of applications will formally start on January 15, 2024, and will continue until all open positions are filled. The projected start date of all positions is August 2024.
