The Department of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering has a faculty complement of 39 professors active in the various areas of building, civil and environmental engineering and its strength is rapidly growing. The department offers PhD, masters and bachelor degrees in Building Engineering, Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering. The Civil Engineering undergraduate program was recently ranked among the top 20 civil engineering programs in the world. Concordia University attracts high quality domestic and international students in all its programs and has stable and strong enrollment at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Department seeks outstanding candidates to fill two full-time, tenure-track/tenured faculty positions with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Automated site data acquisition; Civil Infrastructure: Sustainability, Resilience, Condition assessment and rating methods; Rehabilitation and related Asset Management; Simulation and operation modelling in construction; Productivity modeling and assessment in construction; Construction project financing and lifecycle costing; Information technology applications in construction and building information modeling; optimized delivery of construction projects: Project delivery systems; Modular and off-site construction; Integrated decision support systems for management of construction projects. Exceptional candidates in other emerging areas of Construction Engineering & Management will also be considered.

All applicants must hold a PhD in Construction Engineering and Management, or related areas in Civil Engineering. Excellent communication skills are required and industry experience is an asset. The language of instruction at Concordia University is English; however, knowledge of French is an asset. Membership or eligibility for membership in a Canadian professional engineering association, preferably in the province of Quebec, is required. The appointments will be at the ranks of Assistant or Associate Professor. In exceptional cases, other related areas or rank may be considered.
