The Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) at Baylor University (BU) is seeking applications for highly motivated PhD student(s) in the Spring and Fall 2020 terms to conduct research broadly in the field of interfacial fluid mechanics:
- Droplet impact physics
- Bioinspired fluid dynamics
- Thin-film dynamics
- Hydrodynamic instabilities
- Phoretic particle motions
Applicants are expected to have a strong foundation in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. Optics background will be helpful, but not required.
Excellent communication and written skills are required.
The appointment includes a competitive stipend and full tuition coverage.
