The Bioengineering Department at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) is seeking highly motivated and qualified individuals to join our team as faculty members. KFUPM is a leading engineering university in the Middle East, and we are committed to providing our students with an exceptional education in bioengineering.

The Bioengineering Department is a new and rapid ly growing department. We offer a BSc and MSc degrees in bioengineering and life sciences. Our research areas include bioinformatics, biosystems, and biomaterials.

We are seeking candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Bioinformatics: Biomakers Discovery, Biologics Design, Personalized Medicine, artificial intelligence (AI).
• Biosystems: Biodevices, Diagnostic Assays, Biosensors, BioMEMS, Medical Technologies.
• Biomaterials: Nanomedicine, Drug Delivery Systems, Nanovaccines, Tissue Engineering.

Qualifications:

• A Ph.D. bioengineering or a related field
• A strong record of research and scholarship
• A commitment to teaching and mentoring students
• Experience in working in a collaborative environment

Responsiblities:

• Conduct cutting-edge research in the areas mentioned above, aiming for publication in high-impact journals and securing external funding.
• Develop and teach core undergraduate and graduate courses in bioengineering, ensuring effective delivery and student engagement.
• Supervise graduate students, providing guidance and mentorship throughout their research journey.
• Contribute to departmental growth and development through committee participation, outreach activities, and collaboration with colleagues.
• Maintain active professional networks and engage in scholarly activities beyond research and teaching.
