The Biomedical Engineering (BME) Department in the College of Engineering at Lawrence Technological University (LTU) seeks applicants for a tenure track position in biomedical engineering. Applicants with an earned doctorate in biomedical engineering and/or a related engineering or science field, excellent oral and written communication skills, and commitment to undergraduate teaching and research encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with research interests complementary to current department research areas, such as biomedical data science, computational bioengineering. However, outstanding applicants with expertise in other biomedical engineering areas are also encouraged to apply.
The BME Department at LTU (https://www.ltu.edu/engineering/biomedical) offers BS and MS degrees in BME. Seven labs (Biofabrication, Bioinstrumentation, Biomaterials, Biomechanics, BioMEMS and Microfabrication, Cell Culture and Cell Biology, Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope) are dedicated for faculty and students to conduct course projects and interdisciplinary research.
