The Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for positions in all areas of Electrical Engineering, at all levels, with particular emphasis on mathematical foundations of learning-enabled systems, autonomous decision and control, communications, information theory, signal, and/or image processing. 

All areas of electrical engineering will be considered, but the department particularly encourages applications from individuals who would complement existing strengths in the electronics, circuits, and systems research area. Competitive candidates will have systems-level experience in one or more of the following: electrical power systems, biomedical and/or health-related systems, IoT-enabled manufacturing, smart city or smart agriculture applications, remote sensing, autonomous vehicles or vehicular networks, wireless systems and networks.

The Department offers Ph.D., MS, and undergraduate degrees. Tenured and tenure-track faculty members are expected to excel in classroom teaching, lead highly visible research projects that attract substantial external funding, advise graduate students, and serve the profession and the University.
